Haul :: Sephora April VIB Sale

I usually do 2 major orders for makeup and skincare a year, and they coincide with Sephora’s VIB sales (20% in November 15% in April). This year was a little tame for me since I bought a lot of products from other websites and stores (Neiman Marcus, Ulta, Saks, and various websites for my Korean and Japanese skincare and makeup items).

For the pictures I only have most of the items, not all. Because for some reason Sephora decided to ship my items in 3 different shipments (they have NEVER done that before so strange).

Here we go!!!!!

The boxes are really nice

I have wanted to try Hakuho-do brushes, and I have been intrigued by these for awhile. I am not expecting the works of a real Hakuho-do, but I like that they partnered with Sephora for these brushes, and guess what… they are SYNTHETIC! I had mixed feelings about that but I read and watched some reviews so I figured I would buy a few.

Also it was buy one get one free! They are limited edition so if anyone is interested I would go grab one or two before they are gone!

Anyway super duper excited for these! ❤

Review :: Chosungah 22 Dual Lip Tint & Gloss

I love lip tints, and as apart of my recent Sephora haul (Haul post coming later today) I decided to try out a few of Chosungah 22s Dual lip tints. I have heard amazing things about these tint/gloss duos and I decided to see how they worked for me.

I got the colors Cashmere, and Velvet. But I will be just reviewing Cashmere today, and also give you my overall thoughts!

First Impressions

First the product has 2 different ends (obviously) one with the lip tint, and the other with the accompanying lip gloss. The applicator for the lip tint is really nice, but the brush for the gloss is MEH. I kinda wish they had matching applicators.

The tint is watery, and nicely pigmented, you can layer it on for a sweet light berry lip, or darken it with a few layers. It smells slightly of strawberries. The gloss is a very light nudy pink, and it applies ok, but good golly is it sticky.

I decided to wear just the tint first and see how that wore, and then later on add the gloss to it and see how I liked that.

The Tint

This is what it looks like with one application. Its a very pretty blushing pink/red color.

Here it is with another application. I tried to layer an additional one more in the inside center of the lips. I like to do that with tints. I dunno I really like the bitten lip look.

With the Gloss

The gloss kind of smoothed out the color and gave the lips a very juicy look. It also softened the color up.

Overall Impressions

I have mixed feelings. First I ADORE the tint side. it’s a little watery but the applicator is really great so you can get a nice coat on with one or two passes. Its really easy to build on, and it lasts for hours. I only had to reapply after eating a very soupy lunch. However. I can’t stand the gloss. It is way to sticky, I hate the applicator, and it doesn’t do anything to bring out the beautiful shade of the tint. Yuck and nope.

Its $19 on Sephora, and the price isn’t too bad. I got another color (velvet) which I will try later, so honestly if you want a really nice long lasting tint get this definitely (its MUCH cheaper then the Benefit ones, which I also love) You may like the gloss, I dunno I wasn’t a fan. Overall though I did enjoy the tint a lot!

Overall Grade- B
