My Favorite Sheet Masks!!!

I am a HUGE lover of sheet masks! They are amazing at revitalizing my face, and just give my skin the boost it so desperately needs! I figured I would share my favorite sheet masks with you guys! Also let me know YOUR favorites!

Sheet Masks!

April Skin Mummy Masks

127_shop3_889772

If you love the purifying power of clay masks, and the convenience of sheet masks, then these are the masks for you! They do an EXCELLENT job of removing impurities, deadskin, and brightening the completion! I get mine from Memebox!

Tonymoly I’m Real Masks

710ycpcbswl-_sx522_

I am such a fan of all of these masks. My favorite it the broccoli/vitality one. They do a great job at keeping my skin looking and feeling great! I also love how versatile these are, and also how inexpensive they are as well. I usually buy them as a multipack

Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask

51pncgvsy6l

The packaging might leave a lot to the imagination, but don’t let that fool you. This is one of the BEST sheet masks on the market. Snails, bee venom, and other fantastic ingredients ¬†that are perfect for healthy skin. I love this for its hydrating, and anti aging properties!!! Definitely a MUST TRY!

Honorable Mentions

These are other masks I enjoy a lot as well!!!

My Summer Lifesavers

Summer has been super duper humid, hot and gross here in Florida. So I have been relying on these products to keep me sane, and my skin happy!

SeatreeArt_MoistureMist_02__43299.1459457010.1280.1280

Seatree Moisture Mist. I have been using this SO MUCH I am almost done with my second bottle of it. I should order more then one at a time

thkjdskdj

I usually only use this when I wear a lot of makeup, but since I have to super duper set my foundation I really feel like I need a super duper clean that won’t irritate my skin. I have been using this everyday.

s1207174-main-Lhero

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++. This has been the moisturizer I have been testing out. I got a deluxe sample of it and I really dig it. I love the vitamin C, how it doesn’t feel thick, and the spf is high enough I don;t have to wear sunscreen on my face when I wear this, this keeping the layers on my face down (which is nice in the humidity)

s1190529-main-Lhero

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15. I love this for when I have no makeup days. Slight tint to my lips, keeps them moisturized, and the added spf is a dream!

I have a lot of other products I have been loving, but these have been the superstars so far!

Luxury Beauty Review :: Creme de La Mer

I recently did a youtube review on the Luxe product Creme de La Mer, I wanted to expand upon it a bit. The video is below.

Overall thoughts

  • I got this over 2 months ago (almost 3 at this point) and I have to say I have seen an amazing difference in my skin. Softer, looks healthier, feels smooth, texture is improved and I have noticed an overall diminish in my pores appearance.
  • Overall I’m incredibly happy with the product. I have tried dupes of this in the past, but for me this is what has worked the best. That doesn’t mean it will work for everyone, and from a lot of reviews I read people had better experiences with the dupes. So it all depends on your skin, and your expectations.
  • I want to also add, that using it everyday at night for almost 3 months I am barely if even 1/3 of the way through the jar. I suspect this will last me at least throughout the entire summer. So even though it is incredibly pricey you get a lot of bang for your buck.

If you were on the fence about this product, or want a very effective and luxurious moisturizer, from my experience and results I would highly recommend. But do see if you can get a sample first (I am a HUGE believer in sampling before buying!) as not all skincare works for everyone, and this is a very expensive product. Hope this helped anyone!

Thanks!

OMG More Empties!

Even more empties! I wasn’t planning on doing another one of these so soon, but I have gone through so many products and my bathroom is already so cluttered! So here we go!

SeaTree Moisture Mist

SeatreeArt_MoistureMist_02__43299.1459457010.1280.1280

Love LOVE this moisture mist. Its the best one I have ever used! I have only been able to find it on Beauteque for $12.99, which offers an amazing korean beauty/skincare monthly subscription box. They also sell the products they feature which is where I bought a replacement of this. ITS SO GOOD!! Grade- A++++++++

SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion

00737052641331

This is one of my favorite toners, I use it every morning. Really works well with the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and I love having that extra boost of skincare under my makeup! I usually get this from SK-II’s website but its also available at Sephora.com and Saks. Grade- A-

GlamGlow Youthmud Tingle Exfoliate Treatment

s1497700-main-hero

I wanted to love this, but it really irritated my sensitive skin. I mean super irritated. It hurt so bad while it was one, and my skin was left super red, tender and super sore afterwards. I have noticed every Glamglow product I use does the same thing, which is depressing. Because overall my skin felt so smooth and after the redness and irritation died down it looked good too. I just can’t justify purchasing this, and if you have sensitive skin be warned! But you can find it at Sephora¬†Grade- B *for results*

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

us001192-bha-blackhead-power-liquid_1

I actually liked this product a lot. I noticed my blackheads would diminish when I used this consecutively, and it was easy to use and did not aggravate my sensitive skin. The problem is I would forget to use this, since I used it after my essence, and before my serums. I am super strict with my skincare routine and I just kept forgetting about this. So I have decided not to repurchase (for now). But if you have issues with blackheads I would recommend giving this a shot! I got mine at memebox.com Grade- B+

Freeman Feeling Beautiful Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

5021806

Hate is such a strong word, but hate is what I can use to describe my feelings towards this mask. I didn’t use it all, I didn’t even use a 1/5 of it. But I am chucking it in the garbage. It would NEVER fully dry, and to top that off it wasn’t easy to wash off what remainder of the mask wouldn’t peel off. I had to scrape it off with my fingernails. I tried thin layers, thick layers, I let it sit on my face for over an hour. No thank you, PASS! Also my skin showed no improvement at all after each use, so it wasn’t like the extra effort was worth it for the results. But a lot of people do like it so if you want to play Russian Roulette with your face you can find it at most drugstores and Ulta.com¬†Grade- FAIL

La Mer The Illuminating Eye Gel

54K401_lg

I tried a deluxe sample of this and I was sold. I used this just in the  morning, and my underlies were brightened, and moisturized. They felt amazing, even under heaps of makeup! I am still using my SK-II eye cream, but when I am done with that I will probably be purchasing this, probably from La Mers website, or Neiman Marcus. Grade- A

Perricone MD Cold Plasma

10375381-1302177183-219000

OK, ok… hold up. I don’t know where this product has been all my life but OMG it is amazing. I ended up getting a few deluxe samples of this little baby, and my skin ADORES IT. The smell is pretty off putting, but the results speak for themselves. This has been one of the best anti-aging products I have ever used. I will be purchasing a full-size of this when I am through with all my samples! If you are looking for a good anti-aging product I recommend checking this out! My skin looks so much younger, and healthier since I added this to my routine! You can find it at Sephora, Ulta and various other places. Grade- A+

Other Products in my Empties list *that were either not impressive or I have previously talked about

  • COTZ Face Natural Skintone SPF 40- to dark for me and to thick
  • Lindsay Charcoal Magic Mask- I did a review on this. I really like it but I have other masks I like a lot better. worth checking out though!
  • Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil
  • Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen booster
  • Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing mask- this was alright, I have better sugar scrubs though
  • Tatcha Luminous Memory Serum Concentrate- I liked this, but not enough to justify the cost. I may buy it in the future
  • Ahava Dead Sea Crystal Osmotic Serum- this did nothing for my skin, so pass.
  • NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray- Love and already bought a replacement
  • Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Foaming Cleasner- Made it my favorite cleanser list. Love this, and already bought a replacement
  • Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray- Love and have a full-size (this was a deluxe sample)
  • Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser- was an alright cleanser but I have better. So Pass
  • Lancome Advanced Genefique Youth Activating Concentrate- I actually really enjoyed this, so I may purchase it in the future.

also RIP my beloved discontinued L’Occitane Honey Gentle Water. My most beloved of fragrances!

Skincare Tips :: Minimizing Pores

Enlarged pores are something a lot of us struggle with, some are worse then others. No matter the case it can be something that makes us feel unconfident, and uncomfortable in our own skin.

Although it is nearly impossible to completely get rid of enlarged pores there are a few things you can do to help minimize them, and also keep them clean and free from gunk (which can make them a little unsightly), These are things that I do because I struggle with enlarged pores that clog easily. I have found these things and products to really work wonders for me and my skin, and have noticed a big difference in the appearance of my skin and pores.

Skincare Routine and Products

Its important to have a good routine down, this doesn’t mean you need to have 12 steps, and use expensive products. Rather you want to find the routine for you that you will stick with, because reputation is the key. If its just wash-tone-moisturize thats fine. But you should work each step to your advantage, so if you are looking to minimize pores you have to be really specific with the products you use.

  • The first thing I did to change up my routine and saw a difference was with the addition of a pore brush. I initially used a inexpensive handheld one, and then upgraded to a clairsonic. But I would recommend anything. A soft $5 handheld pore brush will really up your skin game, really clean deep into your pores, and help any treatments you have work better.
  • EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE EXFOLIATE- I alternate between a sugar scrub, a chemical peeling gel, and an exfoliator rich in salicylic acid every other day. When I started adding this to my routine in like 3 days I saw an immense difference. smoother skin and my pores were visibly smaller.
  • Targeted products where another thing that really helped me import the appearance of my pores. I am not talking about going out and spending a fortune. Rather research ¬†what works, and try new things out. I found a few products that worked miracles, and others that were all hype.
  • a good toner. I swear by a few toners that I rotate between depending on the time of year. I look for ones that have BHA, are soothing, and excellent at balancing the Ph of my skin and cleansing deep down into my pores.

Ingredients to look for in products

  • Salicylic acid – a BHA (beta Hydroxy Acid)- cleans and exfoliates deep down into pores
  • cleansers and masks with active charcoal – draws out and deep cleans
  • plant waters and extracts that work to minimize and diminish pores.
  • Hyaluronic Acid

Products I use and have great results with

  • Benton BHA Aloe Toner
  • Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle peeling pads
  • Cure Aqua Peeling Gel
  • Elizavecca Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid 97%
  • Boire Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
  • Tosowoong¬†Platinum Miracle Skin Pore Tightening Pack
  • Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

I hope these tips helped you. Feel free to comment below with questions, or if you have any experience and want to add to the list of advice!

Quick Summertime Skincare Tip

We all love Summer. Beaches, pools, BBQs, or maybe some hiking and exploring. No matter what you do if you want to keep your skin looking healthy, keep it looking young and fresh, and prevent wrinkles…WEAR GOOD SUNSCREEN!

This is the most important thing, like EVER, especially during the summer! Find a good one for your body, and another good one for your face. I promise you, it’s a skin saver!

Skincare Tips for Transitional Skin from your 20s to 30s

I did a little youtube video on some tips that have worked for my as my skin transitioned. When I was in my 20s I didn’t need to pay much attention to my skincare routine, but as I got older it became more and more apparent that I had to start really taking care of it.

I am really bad at talking on my youtube videos so I wanted to expand upon it some.

VIDEO!

More Info and Thoughts!

  • Cleansers are so IMPORTANT! You really want to find the right cleanser for you. You do not need to do what I do and have like 5 cleansers on rotation, but finding the right cleanser for you is super important. I would if at all possible stay clear from “all skin types” cleansers. Anytime I have used those they haven’t done the best job. Rather find a cleanser that is super good at a specific issue you have with your skin. Try to also pair your toners with your cleansers.¬†Doesn’t have to be the same brand, But you want them both to really work well together to help cleanser and address any issues you have with your skin. I have found when I use a cleanser and toner that are targeted at the same thing I see much better results.
  • Cleansing tools are also super important! I am obsessed with my Clarisonic, BUT all you really need is a good pore brush (I use one in the morning) These can run from $5-$15. Just make sure the bristles are very soft (I said clean in the video)

i_m-dual-pore-brush-main-thumb

My pore brush, I got this from Memembox

  • salicylic acid!! HAH, YEAH I BUTCHERED THAT NAME!
  • Sunscreen. Look if you take ANYTHING from this video/blog post it is the importance of sunscreen. That is the best anti-aging product you can use. Just make sure its gentle for your face, and won’t migrate/ get in your eyes.

Investing in yourself

You really want to invest time and effort into your skin. I am not saying have a super long nightly routine, or to spend a fortune on super expensive products. But you need to invest enough time and patience. You generally won’t see any results right away. You should see results in 2-3 weeks but some products may take longer, so be patient. If you need to change or add anything to your routine it is also better to do so a little at a time. So try one new serum , or a new moisturizer/ or night cream. Once you really find what you are looking for you will see great results and have beautiful skin! Its worth the effort.

Some things to look for in skincare/products for skin in late 20s- early 30s

  • Vitamin C
  • Collagen
  • Antioxidants
  • Retin-A

Hope this helps! ‚̧

Empties :: Bunch of Skincare Stuff

I have a good amount of empties to share! I did a youtube video on them, but I really wanted to go in depth about my likes and dislikes! Buckle up kiddies, lets ride! *I don’t know why I said that

Empties

FullSizeRender_2

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask- I actually really enjoyed this mask. It didn’t¬†aggravate or irritate my¬†sensitive skin, and left a nice clean fresh face. However my Elizavecca Carbonated mask does a lot better at cleaning my skin. So I am not going to be¬†rebuying this. But this was very nice! Grade – B+

FullSizeRender_1

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream– This did absolutely nothing for me. Was alittle greasy, made my under¬†eyes look oily. Didn’t hydrate and honey, it definitely didn’t lift! This is 99% natural so that is good, but again this did nothing for me at all. Pass. Grade- D

FullSizeRender_4

Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Deep Cleansing Oil Balm- I talked about this on my favorite cleansers blog post. I really love this for my first cleanse of the morning, I will be rebuying. Grade РA

FullSizeRender_2

Innisfree Anti-Darkening Fixer- I really REALLY wanted to love this. It feels great on, has a nice fresh smell. But I need something heavier duty for a makeup fixer. Because South Florida is a humid swamp land I need something that will keep my face from melting. Sadly this is not it. If I ever get out of this tar pit I may give this another go, but it did not hold up well and I noticed my foundation moving around, and my makeup wearing off after a few short hours. I will not be repurchasing, whomp whomp. Grade – C-

FullSizeRender_3

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray- This was both good and bad. I liked how it made my face feel. Was cooling, and felt nice. But it has a very strong aftertaste/smell of alcohol. I tried to get over it but I just couldn’t. I am glad this was a sample sent to me and I didn;t buy it because I would have been pissed. Clinique!! WHYYYYY Grade – D

Now if you want an excellent moisture mist I have been obsessed with SeaTree’s Seatree art Moisture Mist!

FullSizeRender_1

Benton Aloe BHA Skin TonerРI adore this toner. I use it when my skin feels irritated. It is so soothing. Cleanses well, feels amazing on, and in no way has it ever irritated my sensitive skin. Has BHA, snail secretion filtrate (yes you heard that right, but its an amazing ingredient) and instead of water it uses aloe barbadensis leaf water, which give this toner my highest amount of praise. If you have ever tried Benton products you must. I have enjoyed everything  I have tried from then. This toner is my most favorite of them all! Grade- A

FullSizeRender

Batherapy Epsom Salt and Siberian Fir Oil Bath salts– This was a gift from my sister and I absolutely love it. Was very realxing, and helped relieve tension in my back. Plus it smells like a fricken Christmas tree! I will be rebuying this! Grade – B+

FullSizeRender

Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum– OMG I love this. I talked about it in my last skincare blog post. It does such an excellent job of firming, and hydrating. My face can definitely feel it once I put it on, and it absorbs quickly, and isn’t greasy. If you are on the fence about spending the money on this I would recommend buying one of Tatchas ritual sets that have this in it. But I will definitely be repurchasing this! Grade- A+

Overall I liked most of these products, and will be repurchasing some of them. If you have any opinions or questions on these guys let me know in the comments section!
