Black Pepper Fragrance Review

Ok, I love Demeter Fragrances, there is something very fun and cheeky about them. I have several and am always looking to try more.

Since they newly launched Kitten Fur as a new scent (of course I HAD to pick up a bottle to review on my YouTube channel), I decided to pick up a few other things I wanted. Some fun fragrances for a n April Fools video, and a large bottle of Mulled Cider (one of my favorite scents). They are usualy very generous with GWP, and they were offering a bottle of Violet with purchases over $30. Now if they run out of the gift, they will substitute it, which for me was a 1 ounce bottle of Black Pepper…

Luxurious, subtle and mysterious, like the peppercorns themselves.
Black pepper’s pungent bite comes from the alkaloids – piperine and piperidine, combined with resins found mostly in the seeds. Its aromatic, slightly musty odor comes from the volatile oils found largely in the flesh and skin. These are the oils that go into creating this elegant Black Pepper scent.

At what point did waiters stop trusting us with the pepper grinder?

Now, I LOVE Pepper, in fragrances. I love the spicy notes it brings, so when I saw I got this instead of Violet I was really happy!! Ive worn it and decided I would review it for you!

What do I think?

With Demeter fragrances either you love them or hate them. They tend to be pretty polarizing (minus the general run-of-the-mill florals). This one is no exception.

I decidedly could not wear this for more then 2 minutes. Ive tried a few times. It is UNWEARABLE to me.

I have tried a few times, but this, this is a whole other level. I have tested out the infamous Secrections Magnifiques from Etat Libre d’Orange and I could wear that longer then this!

UGH!!!

I am sad, because I truly love black pepper in fragrances, but this is just a synthetic mess that burns. Its like poison to my nose!!!

I rarely think any fragrances are scrubbers, but this one most definitely is!
